Blogging Goodness

I am delighted that Moultrie Creek has been included as one of’s Top 100 Genealogy Sites. It’s an honor to be included in such a illustrious and eclectic group. As I scan the list I see many old friends, but also many new (to me) faces. A brief peek shows me I’ll be spending some quality time this weekend getting acquainted.

It’s gratifying to see how many people are discovering blogging as a way to document and share their research. Most blog platforms are both economical and easy to use. They allow us to tell our family stories, share our research successes, request help with brick walls and even let off some steam now and again. And, they allow the author’s personality to shine through in both writing style and blog theme. As a result, we are all able to get to know our fellow genea-bloggers in a way that was never possible before. It’s a testament to the genealogy community that in addition to the blogs listed here, I can easily add dozens more that are just as good. How cool is that!
