This week at the Gazette, it’s all about pictures! We started the week with a WeRelate article on Images and will continue throughout the week talking about – and singing – about pictures. From taking pictures to editing them, storing them and even some fun ways to share them, we’ll see how much we can inspire with pictures.
To kick things off, here’s one of my favorite advertisements from a few years back celebrating pictures with music from the Kinks – one of my favorite groups from even more years back. Enjoy!
Part I arrives April 15th.
With some help from The Florida Blogger, I found the Florida Memory Channel on YouTube. I could spend hours here. This video popped up and seemed perfect for today. Before you start packing your bags, I should let you know that it was 24° in my front yard this morning.
This card was created using Apple’s Keynote presentation app from the iWork ’09 suite. The photo shuffling effect uses Keynote’s “Thumb Through” action. Once done, the presentation was exported to movie format and uploaded to a video-sharing site (Vimeo in this case) so it can be posted online via Facebook, Twitter, my blog and any number of other social sites.
I am now a big fan of Bare Naked Ladies because of this song which I stumbled on a couple of years ago. Although not quite a carol, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen beautifully conveys the “comfort and joy” that symbolizes Christmas.
So, sing along with me and BNL as part of this year’s blog caroling. I wish you all plenty of comfort and joy this Christmas and into the New Year. Merry Christmas!
