Although the new iPad Pro is quite impressive, it’s way too big for my purposes. Recently, I took advantage of the price reductions to buy an iPad Air 2. I was able to get the 128GB Wi-Fi model for $100 less than what the basic (32GB) Pro model costs. That savings was used with a well-timed discount coupon to buy the Logitech BLOK keyboard case.
Except for the screen size, the specs are very similar to the Pro and my Air 2 fits nicely into my bag. And, after installing the iOS 9 update next week, I’ll have the split view and slide over features to make research tasks even easier. Imagine having Evernote and Ancestry open in split view . . .
FYI, the keyboard doesn’t require charging. It uses two CR2032 disc batteries and claims a 4-year battery life. I’ve had mine for a month now and it’s going strong.
