Etsy for Digital Storytellers

Etsy is the first place I go to find affordable graphics to use in my family history storytelling projects. These vintage graphics come from the Electric Anthology shop which offers gorgeous graphics along with scanned images of things like old keys, jewels and hardware.

Each of the items you see in these examples are digitized images that can be used over and over again in your story projects. Both the price and the terms of use make them quite affordable.

Although this shop is “located” in Belgium, these graphics arrive just a few seconds after your purchase is made.

Each shop has its own policy regarding the use of their image files. Make sure you read and understand them before you make your purchase. I’ve found that, in general, Etsy shop owners have more liberal policies than most other online scrapbook shops.

One tip on using Etsy. Take advantage of the “like” function. Click the heart icon for interesting items and/or shops. This will make it easier to find them again. Trust me . . . you’ll be going back.
