My Family History

These pages serve as a table of contents for the research and stories about my ancestors, providing links to articles, photos, publications and archives both here at Moultrie Creek and elsewhere on the Web. As with any family history, it will always be a work in progress.

My current focus is on the recent generations – especially those people who I knew. These people lived through the Great Depression and World War II along with their own tragedies and struggles. My goal is to document more than just vital statistics and a few photos. I want to show just how extraordinary they were. Some of their stories include:

  • Cherokee Rose
  • Dad’s Clam Chowder
  • The Farm
  • I Can’t Drive 55
  • The Buccaneer Lodge
  • Charleston Connections
  • Wilbur – a Legendary Pig
  • Kukawalla’s Spring
  • Southern Saute
  • Pirate Gold
  • Corvair Road Trip
  • Sitting on the Moon
  • Chopsticks and Moonlight Sonata
