Google has announced they are moving Picnik, the online photo-editing service, into Google+. This means the Picnik site and services like Flickr that include Picnik as a feature will no longer function after April 19th. Until that time, Google is making all of Picnik’s premium features available at no cost. What about Flickr? A recent post on the Flickr blog stated they have been working on a replacement for Picknik which they think we are going to like better. They are also promising other improvements to the site. Flickr is an awesome platform that has been neglected by Yahoo for far too long. A face-lift and some new features would be most welcome.
